On Monday 22nd November 2021, Dominica signed an agreement with the People's Republic Of China to allow visa-free travel between both countries. The visa waiver agreement takes immediate effect and anyone holding a passport from Dominica can visit China without the requirement of applying and obtaining a visa.

On the signing of this historic agreement Dominica's Prime Minister Roosevelt Skeritt held that such an agreement marks an important milestone in Dominica's friendship with China and that this agreement will deepen and strengthen diplomatic bilateral relations between the two countries. He thanked the People's Republic of China for its friendship, cooperation and trust over the years and he reaffirmed Dominica's commitment to the One China Policy. He also welcomed the new Ambassador of China to Dominica who presented his credentials on the same day.
